Being an art gallery opened to the public since 2004, april the 29th, Maatgallery is two steps away from Viaduc des Arts in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, near the Gare de Lyon. Maatgallery is willing to promote young talents as much as confirmed artists.
In order to have this, our exhibitions aim at supporting artists using different techniques, with a will of putting together a coherent set, while letting every artist express his/her message.
Through its choices, our art gallery wishes to emphasize the diversity of styles and techniques used by contemporary artists. Thus, paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs and new technologies mix and mingle with also art objects and designers' furnitures.
In order to push against the walls of the gallery, and go meeting collectors as much as the mainstream audience, the art gallery has become virtual by offering 24/7 a selection of the works it supports on its website.
As the opposite extreme of institutional avant-garde galleries, our investors wanted this gallery to look like them : with no promotional aesthetic, and being dedicated to the artists from the floor to the ceiling.
"Dialogues" events have been created to make the audience and the artists communicate directly : a privileged moment to better understanding their work.
